Nikki & Alyssa are co-costume mistresses of North Fulton Drama Club, a 501c3 nonprofit theater in Roswell, Georgia. Since 2006 they’ve been designing costume plots around concepts applied to Shakespeare, including Love’s Labour’s Lost (set in 1963), Twelfth Night (set in Victorian India), Much Ado About Nothing (1945), The Merry Wives of Windsor (1950′s sit-com), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Glam-rock 70′s), Romeo & Juliet (1980′s), All’s Well That Ends Well (1910′s/Titanic Era), Macbeth (1930′s Louisiana), and currently, Comedy of Errors (Arabian Nights/Silk Road).
They own and use a Husquvarna Viking Huskystar and two early 70′s Singer Stylist sewing machines, love dress makers’ shears, and also sometimes sew for themselves. They use all sorts of blue language, stab themselves with pins, and bleed on the costumes.
Hey. Occupational hazards, right?
